After months of figuring out the right way to use Illamasqua's Rich Liquid Foundation, I've finally composed a review. This is a product which has received many bad reviews for its cakey characteristics; when I first bought this product, I applied it straight onto my skin, like I would with my regular foundations, and was completely shocked by the outcome - it caked in all the wrong places, gathered in streaks all across my face and seem to rub off at the slightest touch. I genuinely thought that it was 'off', but, after reading through customer reviews, I saw that a lot of people had the same problem.
I began to experiment and, finally, I figured out how to use the foundation to its full potential, meaning that my £30 wouldn't go to waste. If you follow the method I describe in this video, you can achieve a smooth, full-coverage look without streaks or cakeyness. But is it worth the £30 price tag, or are there other foundations that match up to its potential without the hassle of exfoliating, moisturising and priming prior to application? I'll let you decide!
The shade I'm using is '140' which is, as stated on Illamasqua's website, ideal for light to medium skin with golden undertones.
