Avenue 32: Designer Clothing

I have been invited to share my ideal holiday with my lovely readers for a chance to win a pair of sunglasses from Avenue 32!

If you know me well, you'd know that I'm in love with designer sunglasses, and Avenue 32 stocks so many incredible designs, all set for a luxurious holiday to a glamorous destination! So, here's a little blog post explaining my dream holiday, and the Avenue 32 outfits that I'd wear on my travels!

My perfect holiday would take place in St. Barts (I know), and would consist of  going shopping (duty free, I might add), taking a ride on a yacht and lounging around on the beach. Of course, I could really do these things at any beachy place in the world but I picked St. Barts so I could spy on celebrities. Duh.

Here are my Avenue 32 outfits for each of these activities:

OOTD - Logan

I adore the shirt that I bought from The Vintage Set; it's a 1970s button-up, short sleeve shirt with subtle embroidery. I think it edges on hipster, which I like to emanate in my style once in a while.

I've accessorised this look with a heavy chain from Dorothy Perkins, a River Island watch and high top flatforms trainers from Boohoo.

Runway Republic: Vintage, Designer & Independent Clothing

                GRAY SL

Like many of you, I've trawled through eBay looking for clothing that I've seen in magazines or on the high street, or for interesting vintage pieces.

After a while, clicking through hundreds of pages to find what I was looking for became a tedious process, and I rarely ended up buying anything. It occurred to me that eBay wasn't fashionista-friendly, and I needed to find another platform that provided me with unique, on-trend items from enthusiastic sellers.

Then Runway Republic popped into my life. Easy to navigate, brand-oriented and with a seller registration process that takes minutes to complete, this site's definitely one to rival even the ASOS Marketplace.

The best thing about this site is that it allows buyers to browse through independent brands and designers from across the world, opening up a door for sellers who are only just starting out in the business. Some of my favourites include LipsToToes, The Pokey Hat and My Green Bag Shoreditch - perfect if you're an underground label junkie like me.

Runway Republic stocks everything from swimwear to party dresses - I recommend taking a look!

The Vintage Set Festival

If you love vintage, you have to visit The Vintage Set's boutique on ASOS. They have a great selection of colourful, classy and charming clothing and accessories, all on an affordable price tag.

You may have seen me tweeting earlier about a 1970s shirt that I bought yesterday at The Vintage Set Festival. If you didn't, here's a photo >>>

I'm absolutely in LOVE with it - it brings out the hipster in me.

Talking about The Vintage Set Festival, my sister and I enjoyed a lovely evening at Birmingham's 'The Custard Factory', meeting bloggers, browsing the vintage rails and listening to a brilliant Q&A session from industry experts.

I took so many photos, but I've narrowed it down to a reader-friendly amount just for you.

Vintsetfest 7

I had never been to Birmingham before, but everyone who I met at the event was so friendly - I'll definitely have to visit again and have a look around (hello, Selfridges).

The atmosphere was great at the venue - a renovated custard factory that is now used for events.

Vintsetfest 5

One of the highlights of the evening was being able to listen to a Q&A session with a panel of established members of the fashion industry. This was so insightful and I learned a lot about the sort of business I plan to go into. Oh, and on the right are the amazing sample-filled goody bags - I shall be delving into mine today, expect lots of Twitter updates.

I met Harri Styles which I was so excited about as I'd seen her amazing bespoke pieces on Twitter, prior to the event. You can see examples of her work below - check out her website here for more information!

OOTD - Abigail

As Summer's at it's peak, I wanted to do a Summery photoshoot, so I picked a pink jumper from New Look (even though it was boiling) and a light, floral skirt paired with my white ankle-strap sandals from Boohoo. These are my favourite shoes at the moment, but I just can't bring myself to wear them out everywhere, I'm so conscious that they're going to get marked.

I'm also wearing my beautiful sunglasses from Sunnies Festival Glasses - I've received so many compliments about these! Love them.

Tell me what you think in the comments below; I always appreciate your feedback!

OOTD - Cherie

While in Woodbridge, I visited Holly Blue, a boutique that's actually starting to sell some half decent clothes.

I got these beautiful Oxmo Aztec-print trousers there, which I absolutely adore. They have a wonderful graphic design with pops of pink, yellow and blue. Plus, they're made from a really light fabric - perfect for Summer when you need a light layer in the evenings.

I decided to pair the trousers with a neon pink vest to emphasise the little pops of pink in the trousers. Tell me what you think in the comments below!

Sunnies Festival Glasses

At the beginning of the year I started spotting so many sunglasses with cute little flowers embellished around the frames. It's so Etsy - I love it.

Luckily, I entered a giveaway on, and won a pair handmade by Olivia from Sunnies Festival Sunglasses!

These are a beautiful seamist colour with sparkly, transparent sides and fuschia, lilac, baby pink and mint green flowers decorating the frames.

I have to say, I absolutely love them! They're so 'festival season' and brighten up any look. I'd wear them with something colourful, just to emphasise the Summery-ness.

Budget Bucket List

A thank you to Hannah for tagging me in her bucket list post - see her post here! have created a budget bucket list competition to see how the nation would spend their money if given the opportunity to do something amazing. This is such an interesting way to see into a person's personality and imagination; by taking part, I can tell you a little more about who I am.

The aim is to create two lists - one budget, one extravagant - of activities like having a picnic or planting a tree, to travelling the world or going into space. On top of this, you must write about what's stopping you doing these things and what it would mean for you to tick them off your list.

Entrants could win £1000, so I'm nominating Natalie, Mia and Isabel to take part!

Here's my BARGAIN Bucket List:

I've always adored animals, and helping abandoned animals find new, loving owners would be one of the most amazing experiences for me. The only thing that's stopping me is the fact that I have two dogs who also need lots of love and attention - charity begins at home!

Bargain 2

I haven't exercised in years, so a long bike ride would do me so much good - plus I love being outdoors in the sunshine! Unfortunately, I wouldn't know where to go, plus I have no one who'd be bothered enough to go with me.

Bargain 3

I know it's so 'teen romcom', but driving out to the beach, laying on the car bonnet with a Kopparberg and watching the stars is perhaps the best date I could ever go on. What's stopping me? I think you can guess that.

Bargain 4

I've been writing music for as long as I can remember, though I tend to write a chorus here, a riff there, and I have never finished a song. I guess it's been lack of commitment, or inspiration, that's stopped me; however, if I were to write one, maybe one day I could perform it - even if it's just for my friends and family.

Extravagant 1

I get so excited at the prospect of seeing new designers' work at LFW, but it would be more than amazing to produce a pop-up catwalk outdoors in a city centre - music booming, no entry fees, and talented designers showing off their designs. I think that would be a highlight of my life.

extravagant 2

As you might know if you are a regular at Art Style Love, I like my art. Not only do I make my own, but I support others by promoting their work on this blog. I think there is art for everyone to enjoy, not just those who can afford it - so starting an art gallery will allow me to fulfill my passion, as well as support others along the way!

Extravagant 3

For the career that I want to go into, London is the place to be. Plus, it inspires me - there's something different around every corner! I know living in London is expensive, but I know I'll get there one day, somehow...

Extravagant 4

Having somewhere peaceful to relax is so important to me; I love quiet areas away from the busy world, so a Japanese, zen-like garden would be my ideal place to rest. I like stepping stones, pagoda-style buildings and bonsai trees in pretty shan shui decorated containers - so beautiful!

extravagant 5

For a long time now I've been intent on visiting Aus. I've heard so many good things from family and friends who have flown there, but I really want to experience it for myself for at least six months. My all time must-do is to cook and eat Christmas dinner on the beach!

Product Review: Kissed Lashes

False eyelashes were never my top priority while getting ready for a night out - I only really wore them when I was feeling super TOWIE.

However, after Kelly from Kissed Lashes asked me to try out a few sets of her hand-decorated falsies, they seem to have made their way into my daily makeup routine.

My lashes aren't incredibly long or thick, in fact, I'm actually so jealous that my boyfriend has better eyelashes than me.

Kissed Lashes' 'The Natural One' made my eyes appear bigger, without making me look like I've tried too hard. I wore the lashes out to afternoon tea with my friends during the day, and I didn't feel odd with them on. In fact, I felt a lot more confident.

I also picked out one of the more embellished designs from Kissed Lashes, which were called 'Toblerone'. These were a fuller set of eyelashes which were half covered in small golden-orange coloured gems. This is such a brilliant concept, and it looks gorgeous!

The best thing about these lashes is that the gems are really well secured and don't fall off during the application process or during normal wear. Plus, they are easy to apply if you use a good quality glue.

Kissed Lashes have got a range of handmade designs ranging from red rose embellishments to golden glitter - if you're a lover of decorative false eyelashes, I definitely recommend taking a look! Their website also includes useful tips, like how to apply false eyelashes correctly, plus an FAQ and blog full of beauty advice.

For some reason I can't stop myself from walking into New Look and buying things that I really don't need. But oh well, it gives me something to get excited about when I open my wardrobe.

Here's today's look, comprised completely of New Look items, bar a Miso necklace from Republic.

How to Look Like: Miranda Kerr

This stunning Victoria's Secret model is such a style icon for me. Her sense of style makes her look expensive and luxurious, but at the same time, utterly effortless.

I'm all about collared shirts, and Miranda works this sleek white shirt from T by Alexander Wang perfectly with a pair or leather trousers and black heels. This monochrome look is so simple, yet hard to pull off without Kerr's incredible body shape and totally relaxed demeanor.

I've put together a little outfit which resembles my take on Miranda's chic look - tell me what you think.

Prom Hairstyles - Hair Artistry

   It's prom season!

I've been working on a collaboration with Suffolk-based salon, Hair Artistry, to bring you a collection of inspiring hairstyles for prom.

Hair Artistry, located in Felixstowe, Suffolk, opened up their salon last Sunday exclusively for prom styling. It wasn't long before several young ladies arrived, requesting drop curls, subtle beehives and accessory embellished up-dos fit for a ball.

Of course, this was no problem for Hair Artistry's team of stylists, who skilfully sculpted the young girls' hair with the help of GHD straightening irons, multiple luxury Paul Mitchell products and innumerable hair grips.

The girls loved their hairstyles, and looked so excited for their evening ahead, consisting of sequined dresses, limousines and gorgeous weather, perfect for the everlasting memories of prom.

Astonished at the creativity taking place at Hair Artistry, I really enjoyed creating this prom lookbook, showcasing a variation of stunning hairstyles - Let me know if you're inspired by these gorgeous looks!
