Product Review: Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Elate

Illamasqua White Pencil 3

Illamasqua's pencil comes in two sizes, 'medium' or 'fine', andd eighteen different colours for use on the "eyes, lips, face and body".

I have the 'medium' pencil in 'Elate', a pure white shade that can be used for highlighting on cheeks, and accentuating eye and lip designs. There are a number of ways you can use this but I've just gone for a simple eye-enlarging look by applying the pencil to my waterline, as you can see in the photos below.

The product really is 'pure white' and therefore blends in with the natural colour of your sclera (the white of your eye), creating an illusion of larger eyes.

The texture of this pencil is so smooth and it can be blended easily with either your fingers or a brush. However, beware of tears as you will need to reapply the product after it comes in contact with water due to its softness.

Don't be put off by a very slightly more expensive price tag than brands such as Rimmel, as this pencil will last you a very long time. Plus, the amount of shades available in this product trumps most other brands.

  1. I love how these pencils are such multi-taskers. The white looks amazing on your waterline!
