Products I Cannot Live Without: Burt's Bees

I've been using Burt's Bees for over a year now and I absolutely swear by them.

The main ingredient in these products is, of course, beeswax, which has many benefits within skin cosmetics. According to an article on Livestrong.com, beeswax acts as a protectant by forming a protective layer over the skin, acts as a skin softener and healer and has antibacterial properties.

Burt's Bees products also include a number of other natural ingredients such as almond oil, grapefruit seed extract, sunflower oil, rosemary leaf extract and soybean oil.

These ingredients come together to form some really great, gorgeous smelling, easy to use products.

1. Beeswax & Banana Hand Cream

I use this once or twice a day to combat dry hands. The thick texture of the creme makes it really feel as if the product is melting into my skin, while the sweet banana scent is really relaxing, especially before sleep. You can also get this cream in an almond milk flavour.

£9.99

2. Peppermint Foot Lotion

I also have this in a coconut flavour, however i much prefer this one, as it's less sticky and smells a little bit better. This is so easy to rub onto tired feet. The peppermint wakes you up a bit and feels really refreshing on the skin.

£12.99

3. Honey Lip Balm

I use this before I apply any lipstick as it acts as a good base, or I use it on a particularly cold day as it forms a nice layer over my lips and acts as a protectant. You can also get these in peppermint, mango butter, acai berry and pomegranate flavours, however I prefer this one as it's the thickest.

£3.69

4. Soap bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream

This can be quite harsh on the skin, however it refreshes and cleanses at the same time and leaves your skin feeling clean and rejuvenated. This product contains witch hazel, famed for its anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties, and coconut oil, which is said to prevent wrinkles and sagging of the skin.

£10.99

5. Handsalve

I pop this handsalve into my bag whenever I go out. I use it whenever it's cold and i have a spare moment to rub it into my hands as it treats dried skin with its oily texture in the initial form of a balm. It has a gorgeous spicy-lavender smell.

£9.99

6. Radiance Day Cream

I love using this product on occasion, however it is quite thick, so I use it about half an hour before I apply make up just to let it sink into my skin. It contains royal jelly, wild cherry bark and spearmint extract, forming a relaxing scent. You can also buy this in a night cream and eye cream.

£19.99

  5. I'm always kinda put off of Burts Bees because of the price (apparently they're so much cheaper than the US) but always hear such good things about them; I think it's time to invest as I have really sensitive skin x

    1. I admit the prices aren't the cheapest but I sacrifice that for the use of natural ingredients, plus the gorgeous honey scents :)
If you have sensitive skin I'd definitely recommend their moisturisers! Perhaps try a sample if you're not completely sure?

  6. Burt's Bees honey lip balm is like my saviour! I use it every night before I go to bed and it makes my lips so smooth. I've been using it for like 4 years. Nothing ever works the same. I love the tingly feeling it gets too. It lasts a while for me since I only use it at night, but its worth every penny! xo
