Product Review: Bobbi Brown Foundation Brush

You may have seen on my Twitter that I'd been recovering from a Selfridges hangover. Yes, I spent quite a bit, but it was so worth it.

Today I'm reviewing a product that I purchased from the Bobbi Brown counter in the beauty hall.

I had been in desperate need of a good quality foundation brush for months, however, as there aren't many high end make up counters around where I live, I decided to wait until my little trip to the city.

Bobbi Brown is a well-known professional make up artist, and, having worked in the industry for over two decades, it's clear that she knows her stuff.

The foundation brush I bought has the softest bristles EVER, creating a flawless finish without any streaks. It has a flat edge, making it so easy to use around facial features. No wonder this brush is award winning.

I had been using a sponge ever since I started wearing foundation. It's obvious sponges soak up product, create streaks and leave you with mucky fingers, so when I switched to a brush it was a much better experience - plus I found myself using a lot less product. So, for those of you who are in two minds about whether to continue using a sponge or switch to a brush, I definitely recommend converting.

Here's a shot of me after having applied my foundation (Rimmel Match Perfection) with the Bobbi Brown Foundation Brush.

As with all good quality make up brushes, you will find that the prices aren't pocket-friendly. This brush alone set me back £32.00, however I definitely don't regret it as the quality is excellent and I love the resulting even finish.

You can purchase Bobbi Brown at Selfridges, Liberty, John Lewis etc. or order online here.

An added extra...

Perhaps my favourite advert of all time, No. 5 the Film was directed by my inspiration, Baz Luhrmann in 2004. I just wanted to share this with all of you as I'm so excited about Luhrmann's take on the Great Gatsby arriving in May!

  3. I used to use a foundation brush like that but I've recently switched to the Real Techniques Buffing Brush.
There's something that looks really luxurious about this brush though, I've never tried a Bobbi Brown brush!
